Website Terms of Use

Effective: September 11, 2026

1. Introduction

These Website Terms of Use apply to lakeshorelogic.ca, operated under the registered Ontario business name Lakeshore Logic.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms govern use of this website only. Paid services are governed by the separate written service agreement and the applicable Statement of Work, Work Order, Care Plan Schedule, or other engagement document accepted by both parties.

2. Informational Purpose

The website provides general information about technology services, including smart-home and home-network consulting, IT and computer help, web development, and software development.

Sending an inquiry or requesting a consultation does not by itself book an appointment or form a binding agreement for paid services. Our Privacy Policy applies to the personal information included in your inquiry.

3. Pricing

Unless stated otherwise, website prices are starting prices for the described Lakeshore Logic services. The actual scope and price or approved maximum will be set out in the engagement document accepted by both parties. Any additional Lakeshore Logic charges will be disclosed before the engagement is accepted.

Hardware, third-party subscriptions, electrical work, new cabling, and other excluded installation work are purchased or contracted separately by the client with the relevant provider. Their charges are not included in Lakeshore Logic's service price. Applicable taxes on our services will be identified separately.

4. Scope of Services

Lakeshore Logic provides technology consulting, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, planning, development, and support services.

We do not perform electrical work.

Electrical work must be completed by an ECRA/ESA-Licensed Electrical Contractor hired directly by the client.

We do not run new cables inside walls, fish cables through finished spaces, perform exterior penetrations, or mount exterior cameras.

New Ethernet runs, PoE-camera cabling, exterior mounting, and similar low-voltage work must be completed by a qualified installer hired directly by the client.

We may help define the technical requirements and coordinate the handoff.

5. Third-Party Products and Services

The website may refer to third-party products, platforms, manufacturers, contractors, or services.

Lakeshore Logic does not control third-party products or services and does not guarantee their availability, compatibility, pricing, security, performance, or continued operation.

Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. Smart-Home and Camera-System Limitations

Smart-home systems, networks, cameras, sensors, notifications, local storage, cloud services, and integrations can fail or behave unexpectedly.

You should not rely on a smart-home or camera system as your only safety, security, or emergency-response measure.

Lakeshore Logic does not provide alarm monitoring, emergency dispatch, guaranteed detection, guaranteed recording, guaranteed uptime, legal advice about surveillance, or insurance advice.

7. Website Use

You may not:

  • misuse the website
  • attempt unauthorized access
  • submit malicious code
  • interfere with website operation
  • abuse website forms
  • impersonate another person
  • use the website for unlawful purposes

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, website branding, written materials, and original content are owned by Lakeshore Logic or used under licence. You may view the website and print or download reasonable portions for your own reference. Except for these uses or uses permitted by law, reproduction, republication, resale, or commercial distribution requires permission from the applicable rights holder. Rights in client deliverables are governed by the applicable service agreement.

9. Disclaimer

The website is provided for general informational purposes.

While we aim to keep the website accurate and current, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

Nothing on the website is professional legal, insurance, electrical, or safety advice.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lakeshore Logic is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website.

These Terms govern use of this website only. Paid services are governed by the separate written service agreement and the applicable Statement of Work, Work Order, Care Plan Schedule, or other engagement document accepted by both parties.

Nothing in this section excludes a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, reduces our obligations under applicable privacy law, or limits a right or remedy under a separate agreement for paid services.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Lakeshore Logic Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will post the effective date of the updated version. Changes apply prospectively. Where additional notice or acceptance is legally required, we will obtain it before relying on the change. A website update does not amend a separate agreement for paid services.
